13 September 2021

Most workers spend eight hours working in the factory, office and/or any sector, and also, every time there are more people decide to start their own business working from home, which we spend many hours sitting down, from there comes the need to get a high quality work chair that in the future can help you avoid postural pain and back pathologies, besides it can be annoying and become complicated, leading to serious muscle problems.

HEALTH

Although at first disburse an important amount of money in office supplies may seem like a considerable expense, it is actually a necessary investment. The chair is a fundamental element that we must not skimp, since it can play an important factor in health.

Lower back pain is the health problem that most costs workers, choosing a good seat is not only important for the back, but also for other aspects of health such as joints or blood circulation. Also, once a back injury has occurred, the risk of incidence shoots up and the importance of working conditions to prevent the problem from becoming chronic increases.

THE SEAT AND HEIGHT

The most important aspect when you choose a work chair is definitely the seat. It is important that it can be adjustable in height, since this will allow fixing the position of the torso depending on the working table being used. In case the chair is too low, it will cause injury in the lumbar area, meanwhile, if the chair is too high for the table, the vertebrae will suffer problems and the dorsal and trapezius muscles will be forced to work. However, it is important that its position can be modified with respect of the back seat, if the abdomen is too compressed, it can lead to circulation and digestive problems. It must be wide enough to be able to sit comfortably and in no case in any case should the front part press against the back of the knees; ideally it should be inclined downward.

THE BACK SEAT

The back seat is no less important, must be fit the back and offer good support to the lower back. As the same as the seat, it is recommended that it be adjustable in inclination, as well as being able to regulate strength, stability and mobility. For working days that don’t exceed five hours, it is best to decide on reclining back seats, while, for longer days, the best is to try synchronized chairs, in this modality the back seat reclines while the seat slides forward and backward, in this way neither the spine or the abdomen are in a compressed position at any time.

When choosing the chair in which we will spend most of the day we must take in consideration these two important facts, and always keep in mind that is more important than the price or the brand, is the quality and the health benefits.
